Friends
At the age of 77 I have published what I trust, the Good Lord willing, will be my last book of story-essays. The secret subtitle of this collection of trails is "Some Arriving from as Far Away as Virginia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Kansas, and Texas." This means a wider coverage than my usual focus on Oklahoma. The ghost roads in the last state are easily recognized for they are unpaved, red-clay roads, treacherous for the standard passenger car in wet weather. The ancestral bones that appear are located in rural cemeteries, which are often in a state of neglect, sometimes because the burials are African-American.
Please have a closer look at it.
Many thanks,
Wayne
